The Crew this year was great! I especially loved our teacher Mrs. Amri. She is really kind and loving. Hopefully she moves up to third grade and becomes my teacher again. But if she stays in 2nd I will miss her. Mrs Amri is great!

I am proud that I helped raise money so we could help kids in Africa have better schools and a better life. I learned a lot of how different my life in the USA is compared to the life of many kids in Africa. I am very lucky to have all of the things that I have and I want kids in Africa to have the luxuries that I get to enjoy too. I really liked learning about Africa. I also loved learning songs and dances and especially drumming from Okaidja, he is a very cool and very nice man.

My class and I are doing the Africa Bridge reading challenge. It is when we read 20 minutes at school. Every time we read we donate money to Africa Bridge to help students in Africa. Our class donations help build new desks. It makes me feel good that we are helping kids.

 My favorite place to visit in Oregon is a very small town in Eastern Oregon called Wamic. My family has a cabin there that my grandfather and great grandfather built a long time ago. I love that there is lots of open space to roam and explore. It is really relaxing there and my cousins and my dogs love to visit the cabin too. It is a great place to spend time with my family.

Our class is starting a project about the character Flat Stanly. Our teacher is going on safari to visit our sister schools in Tanzania. She will introduce Flat Stanly to them. I have a flat Stanley character, I mailed him to Hawaii where my grandparents are. They are thinking about living there! I am sad that they are going to probably live there, but I’m excited to visit them.

My favorite books are Captain Underpants, Guinness World Records, and Star Wars.

I like Captain Underpants because it is very funny and creative.

The Guinness World Records book is full of action, amazing stunts, and weird stuff. My favorite record is, the one with the guy wearing just shorts in a tub full of ice for ten minutes.

I like Star wars because it is full of action, futuristic characters, and the story line is exciting and never gets old. My favorite character is Obi Wan Kenobi.

On Valentine’s Day are class had a Valentine’s Day party. Our moms and dads came to school with us. We had breakfast. We had waffles and syrup and coffee and orange juice for the kids. We also played Bingo. Over all, it was awesome! Hers a video we made.
